WWF on site at WHITE ROSE LANE

WWF volunteers on site

We are extremely grateful to the WWF staff who came out to help us with the removal of invasive balsam along the Hoe stream and in the White Rose Lane nature reserve. A total of 35 volunteers were on site from 10.00 to 15.00. We have now cleared all of the balsam along the south side of the stream from the cricket ground gate up to and just past the the bridge to the reserve. In roads were made on the north side and also into the reserve area. There is still considerable amounts of balsam in the reserve area and next year we plan to tackle this as a priority. Once again many thanks to WWF.
