MILLMOOR COMMON

Last Sunday was the final work party day for 2019. We have had great success at this location. The pond is looking good and the wildflower area flourished during the summer. Over 40 species of wildflowers were recorded from Spring to Autumn. Further areas have been prepared for next Spring. Other copse areas have been worked on. Balsam was removed from the streams.

Two families of moorhens were seen on the pond, plus mallards and kingfishers. Several bird species have been seen during the year and last Sunday a large group of greenfinches were spotted in the trees.

The next work party session will be on Sunday 26 Jan next year and we hope to continue with the good work.
