On Sunday 21 August, the Woking Biodiversity group returned to White Rose Lane Nature Reserve to remove invasive Himalayan Balsam. The team made good progress in clearing more of the central area of the reserve, including many tall plants with seed pods.
We will have our last Balsam removal session on Sunday 28 August. This time we will be meeting at the Leisure Centre at the back of the covered car park at 10.00, working along the Hoe Stream. The session will finish at 13.00. We are allowed 3 hours free parking. As usual, please bring your own gloves and drink, and wear long sleeves and trousers.
Hope to see some of you there for our last session of the year. Please contact woking.biodiversity@outlook.com for more information.
