WEAct will be arranging a series of activities and events as part of the Great Big Green Week, a national campaign celebrating action against climate change.
Taking place from 18 to 26 September, communities across the country will be joining together for the largest event for climate and nature the UK has ever seen.
We will be hosting a number of events throughout the week and are encouraging everyone to get involved, either by taking part in our activities, or by arranging your own. This could be a community stall, a litter pick, art installation or anything in between as long as it celebrates nature and the climate.
National organisations, institutions, businesses and media outlets will join in, getting more people involved up and down the country, and putting pressure on the UK Government to up its game on climate change.
The Great Big Green Week comes ahead of the UN’s Climate Change Conference, COP26, which takes place in the UK in November, and will act as a useful way to remind politicians as to the strength of feeling around the climate, and the desire for change that is desperately needed.
If you would like to arrange an event, please download the Event Organiser’s Guide and get in touch so that we can promote it as part of Woking’s activities.
