We hope to re-open the Hub in a new location later in the year.
WEAct were delighted to host a Climate Emergency Centre in Woking town centre called the WEAct Hub between June 2022 and February 2023.
We are a group of local volunteers passionate about tackling the climate and ecological emergency and set up the WEAct Hub to inform, engage and empower residents and communities across Woking to create positive climate action. The hub provided information, inspiration and support for the local community through our events, talks, showcases and more!
The WEAct Hub formed part of a network of 40+ climate emergency centre (CEC) groups across the UK, including Zero Carbon Guildford. All looking to help individuals and communities to take action.
There are many ways we can all tackle climate change and so we have taken inspiration from The Jump to help us to break it down into more manageable steps. It is an initiative which focuses on six life shifts that we can make to combat climate change.
