Woking Environment Action (WEAct) are delighted to be running a monthly Repair Cafe here in Woking.
We aim to reduce the amount of items going to landfill and will also try to help people learn more about repairing household items.
What can we fix?
A great team of volunteers has come forward to offer free repairs to: small electricals, clocks, furniture, computers, garden tools, clothes and textiles.
Only items that can be carried by one person will be accepted and no petrol-driven items should be brought for safety reasons.
Examples of things we have fixed: lamps, vacuum cleaner, coffee grinder, printer, paper shredder, vax steamer, pressure washer, handbag, trousers, dress, pair of shorts, shirt, toy pelican from the 1960s of great sentimental value, toy helicopter, doll, hair trimmer, lawnmower, facial steamer, items of school uniform, DAB radio, carriage clock, alarm clock, soup maker, fan, hair dryer, toaster, chair, coffee table, rucksack, deck chair seat, sandal.
If possible, please send us an email to let us know what you are planning to bring at wokingrepaircafe@gmail.com
