WEAct are delighted to be running a monthly Repair Cafe rotating between 2 local venues in the Woking Borough area.
We aim to reduce the amount of items going for waste disposal and to help people learn more about repairing household items. We celebrated our second year anniversary on 14th June 2025.
We greatly appreciate donations at the events to help cover our running costs and to support WEAct activities and projects. In September 2025 we launched a Schools Funding project which is using donations to the Repair Cafe to provide grants to local schools to support Environment and Nature projects. Read more here.

What can we fix?
A great team of volunteers has come forward to offer free repairs to: small household electricals, battery-operated clocks, ceramics, small items of furniture, toys, computers, garden tools, clothes and textiles.
Only items that can be carried by one person will be accepted and no petrol-driven items should be brought for safety reasons.
If possible, please send us an email at repaircafe@wokingenvironmentaction.org to let us know what you are planning to bring.

Examples of things we have fixed: lamps, vacuum cleaners, coffee grinder, blender, food mixer, printer, paper shredder, vax steamer, pressure washer, handbag, trousers, dress, pair of shorts, shirt, toy pelican, toy helicopter, doll, hair trimmers, lawnmower, facial steamer, items of school uniform, DAB radio, carriage clock, alarm clock, soup maker, fan, hair dryer, toaster, chair, coffee table, rucksack, deck chair seat, sandal and many others.
A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document and a copy of our House Rules is available on this page. Our Privacy Policy is on our Key Documents page.
