WEAct Annual General Meeting – 25th June 2025
The WEAct Annual General Meeting (AGM) was a great opportunity to hear about WEAct’s activities, our impact in the local community and plans for the next year. We had a really good turnout and our external speaker, Alistair Young, Scientist and Trustee with the River Wey Trust, was very interesting. Alistair talked about why the Trust started 40+ years ago, how it has developed, and the work and projects they get involved with alongside other river and ecology groups.
One of our members Agathe Montagnon, is a graphic recorder and she has very kindly provided the fantastic illustration below showing what was discussed at the AGM.
Agathe is Woking based and is available for illustrating talks live. Check her website:

We also extended the week to run from 2nd to 15th June to include a couple of events that were being held just before the national Great Big Green Week! In total we had 18 events listed which is fantastic! Thanks to all the local organisations who agreed to let us include their activities.
